Payment of traffic fines

Where to pay a traffic fine?

Many drivers are interested in paying a traffic fine (violation of traffic rules). You can make such a payment efficiently using the PUMB mobile application. To take advantage of all the benefits of online banking, you need to download the software at https://www.pumb.ua/en/pumbonline.

How to pay a traffic fine?

To pay traffic fines, you must first log in to your account in the application. And then follow the four steps:

  1. Select the "Payments" section on the home screen, and from there go to the "Payment of traffic fines" category (you need to enter the data to find the necessary information, for example, the surname, name and patronymic of the vehicle owner, the vehicle number, and the decision on the administrative offence).
  2. When information about a traffic violation appears on the screen, you should carefully check it for compliance.
  3. Enter the payment details of the bank card and the amount to be paid (it is specified in the resolution).
  4. Confirm the payment.

After the payment is made, you can save the receipt or receive it electronically.

What is the payment fee?

It is not enough to pay a traffic fine, you need to know what the fee will be, because this means that you will have to pay additional funds. If you use a FUIB bank card to pay a traffic fine (for example, it can be a debit card for vseKARTA own funds), the payment will be made without a fee. So now you know how to save on payment.

How to pay a fine with a 50% discount?

Ukrainian legislation provides for the possibility of paying traffic fines with a 50% discount if the funds are credited to the account within 10 days of receiving the decision on the administrative offence. This discount is valid for parking violations and also applies to offences recorded using automatic photo and video recording systems.

However, if the decision was issued directly by patrol police officers, you should not count on a discount.

If you pay a traffic fine within 10 days and the violation falls under the terms of the discount under the current legislation, you need to calculate the amount to be paid yourself.

How do I find out about my car fines?

To obtain information about your offences, you can use various services recommended by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. This includes the official website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, where you can check whether you have been convicted of an administrative offence using the registration certificate and vehicle number.

To use the official mobile application of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine for Android and iOS, you need to know the number of the resolution. You can also use the Telegram bot @ShtrafyPDRbot - using the number of the resolution, it will indicate the offences recorded automatically.

If the user of the Diia app has a driver's licence displayed, the necessary information can be found in this app quickly and conveniently.

What happens if you do not pay a traffic fine on time?

Failure to pay a parking fine or other offence in a timely manner can lead to negative consequences. As a rule, the offender is given 15 days from the date of the decision to make a voluntary payment. If this period is overdue, you should expect the following:

  • doubling the amount;
  • recovery of the enforcement fee and costs;
  • enforcement;
  • entering the register of debtors.

If no payment is received on the account within the prescribed period, the amount of the fine is doubled. This process is regulated by Article 308 of the Code of Administrative Offences of Ukraine.

Once the voluntary payment period has expired, the order is sent to the State Enforcement Service for enforcement. The offender is then charged double the amount, as well as the enforcement fee and other costs associated with the enforcement proceedings.

The State Enforcement Service has the right to take enforcement action, according to the report:

  • seizing bank accounts;
  • seizure of property;
  • ban on travelling abroad.

Information on non-payment may be entered into the register of debtors. This may have negative consequences for financial and legal transactions.

It should be noted that within 10 days of receiving the decision, the driver has the right to appeal against it in accordance with the established procedure.

How do I check the payment of a fine?

It is not enough to pay a parking fine, you must also make sure that the operation is completed in order not to suffer from the negative consequences of late action.

You can do this in the payment history in the PUMB application, where you can see all the transaction data. To officially confirm the fact of payment, you should use the resources of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as mentioned above. The status can be checked by the resolution number or other data.
