Payment for electricity (light)

How is the electricity bill calculated?

For most Ukrainian household consumers, electricity is charged at a flat rate of 4.32 UAH per kWh.

Certain categories of consumers can benefit from preferential terms. For example, households using electric heating can pay for electricity at a reduced rate of 2.64 UAH per kWh from 1 October to 30 April (during the heating season). However, it should be noted that a household should consume up to 2000 kWh per month. If the limit is exceeded, the entire volume must be paid for at the standard tariff.

If you have a dual-zone meter, you are charged at different rates for daytime and nighttime. Usually, the nighttime tariff is half the daytime tariff. The final amount to be paid is determined by multiplying the number of kilowatt-hours consumed by the relevant tariff.
